Aham Sharma has indeed been a consistent presence in Indian television for over a decade, known for his roles in shows like Mahabharat (as Karna), Brahmarakshas, and Manmarziyaan. Despite his talent and steady work, he hasn’t achieved the blockbuster success that catapults actors to widespread fame. His portrayal of Karna in Mahabharat (2013–2014) remains his most iconic role, earning him the Indian Telly Award for Best Supporting Actor, but even that didn’t translate into sustained stardom.

Recently, Sharma has shifted focus to films, expressing in a 2022 interview that he’s prioritizing cinema over TV for its creative fulfillment, though he remains open to television if the right project comes along. His latest outing is a return to TV with a Star Plus finite series (130 episodes)  The Star Plus show Sampoorna (also referred to as Sampurna in some sources) is a finite series with 130 episodes, marking Aham Sharma’s return to television after a year-and-a-half hiatus. Produced by SVF Productions, it’s an adaptation of the Bengali OTT series Noshtoneer and is set to premiere on August 28, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Aham Sharma plays a heart surgeon, while Vishal Aditya Singh portrays a police officer, with Bengali actress Sandipta Sen as the female lead and Nishi Singh as the parallel lead. Filmed in Chandigarh, the show promises an intense, character-driven story with high production quality, distinct from typical daily soaps. Fans are excited about the unique pairing of Sharma and Singh, with the narrative focusing on two strong male leads and a compelling female protagonist.

Sharma’s career reflects a pattern of versatility and persistence, but his projects often cater to niche audiences or lack the mainstream pull needed for massive success. His focus on meaningful roles over visibility suggests he’s aiming for quality, which may eventually lead to a breakthrough.
