The festival of lights that brings happiness and prosperity to everyone’s life is here once again and looks like our Zee TV actors are kicked about celebrating Christmas this time around as well. In fact, most of them got nostalgic while speaking about this festive season. Remembering their fondest memories of the occasion, Zee TV actors Avinesh Rekhi from Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na, Parull Chaudhry and Akash Chaudhary from Bhagya Lakshmi, Venkatesh Pande from Kashibai Bajirao Ballal, and Akshita Mudgal from Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain opened up about their plans for Christmas this year.
Simaran Kaur who plays the role of Niyati in Zee TV’s Aggar Tum Na Hote reveals "I like everything about Christmas, the decorations, carols, vibe, sweets, plum cake and of course Santa Claus. I celebrate Christmas with my family by decorating my home with special lights. I even go to a church and go shopping with my mom for my Christmas present. I have studied in a Christian school named Mater Dei in New Delhi, so since childhood Christmas has been one of my favorite festivals, the celebrations were absolutely wonderful in my school. My fondest memory to date has been that I played the role of Santa's reindeer "Rudolph" and we performed carols with my friends and teachers. I wish to Santa that he makes our world COVID-free so that everyone can enjoy the Christmas festival happily with their loved ones."
Avinesh Rekhi who plays the role of Devraj in Zee TV's Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na mentions, "My fondest memory of Christmas is the time when I had gone to Germany with my extended family, especially for the festive celebrations in the country. It was so much fun because for the first time I had actually celebrated the festival for the whole week, right from buying the Christmas tree to decorating it to calling our friends over at home and exchanging gifts and whatnot. On Christmas Eve, the whole city was lit up, and people were enjoying the day like there was no tomorrow. It's just like how we celebrate Diwali in India. This year I haven't planned anything as such, but I might be going for a quick getaway to a place nearby. Probably for New Year, we will have a house party at my place too, where I'll be calling all my friends and maybe, the cast of Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na. So, this festive season will be all about celebrations with family and friends."
Akash Choudhary who plays the role of Viraj in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi adds, “For me, Christmas is the year-end and it's time for celebration. As a kid, I remember we used to decorate our classrooms and boards. I really miss that. Nowadays, this festive period is all about meeting friends. But the thing I love the most about Christmas is the Plum cake that my friends make. Since I was a kid, I have been in love with plum cakes as well as the annual tradition of decorating our pine tree and our home with lights. I also enjoy the games we play, especially Secret Santa. This year, I wish all the street dogs could get a home or some good food. I am a major dog lover and I feel sad when I see street dogs. While I will be doing something for them, I hope this festive season, people across the country could also extend their love and support to these furry beings.”
Parull Chaudhary who plays the role of Karishma in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi mentions, “I really love the whole Christmas feel and vibe, it automatically starts as soon we enter the month of December. I love the atmosphere and the weather too. However, I feel the best part about Christmas is the decor, markets, and cafe. Bandra in Mumbai becomes so beautiful during Christmas. This year, I wish everyone enjoys the celebrations responsibly and stays safe during the festival.”
Venkatesh Pande who plays the role of Bajirao in Zee TV’s Kashibai Bajirao Ballal mentions, “Every year, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends during Christmas. It’s like a mini-vacation for me, where I go out for outings and dinner with my friends and family. I remember, during school, we also used to have a Christmas party where Santa used to come and give all of us chocolates! However, this time around, I will be shooting for Kashibai Bairao Ballal, hence I might not be able to go out, but will surely celebrate it with the cast and crew of the show. I would also like to wish Santa to help make our show even more successful during this festive season as we’re working round the clock to entertain all our viewers.”
Akshita Mudgal who plays the role of Paragi Parashar in Zee TV’s Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain reveals, “I really love the vibe of Christmas as it's very pure and beautiful. I remember during my childhood I used to keep a wishlist under my pillow during Christmas and used to think that Santa will come late-night and gift us something. I also used to celebrate the festival with my family and friends by bringing a pine tree and decorating it as well as my house. Those days were so good. I wish this year, everyone has a good, peaceful, and Merry Christmas.”
