Sirf Tum ticks all boxes of a masala TV drama (Review)

The Bajaoman has started a new review section where we will give our funda of what we liked or disliked about your fav shows. We start with Vivian Dsena and Eisha Singh much-awaited show Colors series Sirf Tum.

Sirf Tum ticks all boxes of a masala TV drama

Color 'show Sirf Tum is a full-on engaging masala drama with action starting right at the start. (Congo to Rashmi Sharma ji and her team)

Many girls will identify with the scared Suhani ( Eisha Singh), totally under her strict father, Rakesh Sharma( Sanjay Batra). Mother Sudha( Eva Ahuja) trying to help in her limited way is another common occurrence in India.

Conservative parents dont allow their daughters to attend co-ed colleges, and Suhani wants to join a medical college with a scholarship. (Another hindrance to female higher education)

To further complicate matters, the family also has a nagging grandmother (Jasmit Babbar). The father encouraging his younger son to become a doctor while asking Suhani to stay at home is another classic example of gender disparity.

Interestingly miserly, Rakeshji seems to own a nice pad but does not have a car.

Suhani turns up at the medical college to get her admission form( How come the last date of registration falls on result day? )

Ideally, the backdrop of a medical college should be labs and hospital wards, but here you only have sports (Volleyball and football)

Hero Vivian( Ranveer) is late for his soccer match. He is trying a death-defying stunt to get psyched up (Guys, better CG pls, plus run a disclaimer lest some stupid fan pulls a similar trick.

One girl tries to flirt with him, but he chasses and publically humiliates asking to kiss him in front of all( Er feminists, your take??)

In the above melee, Suhani's admission form gets torn. Like a knight in shining armour, Ranbir uses his father, Vikrant Oberoi's ( Nimai Bali), college trustee tag to get her new forms, despite the office being closed

Ranveer has a bad relationship with his father ( second wife). No prizes for guessing Rakesh Ji father works for Mr Oberio.

Ranveer's mother, Mamta ( Shalani Kapoor), is the classical loving mother.

Ranveer loses his cool when the rival captain talks rubbish about his sister and beats him ( Should Ranveer be expelled or dad pull the strings). again Suhani unwittingly gets involved in the melee, and Ranveer holds back his fist, seeing her.

Ranveer will chase Suhani, who the world will ask to stay away from him, as not to be called gold digger ]

Suhani's bestie, Riya ( Tina Ayodhya), will eventually turn enemy with both digging the same guy.

I hope we get a lot of hospital scenes as Ranveer is an intern medical drama are fun to watch

Vivian fans will love the aggressive bad boy with a golden heart image. Eisha has got the perfect sweet tv lass character. The creative has not tried any different; I can't blame them. Colors need a bit hit in quick time, and there is no time for experimentation.

Rating 3/ 5( I could have given a four, but some of the above bloopers were too glaring )
