Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani to bid farewell on 24th July

The worst fears of Star Plus show Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani fans are coming true. Their fav teacher ( College director ) -student romance starring Karanvir Sharma and Debattama Saha is wrapping up on 24th July. The shooting is more or less over, as per our sources.

This 7 pm show was always in the red, for it never rated enough( It always hovered around 1 TVR ) . Filmibeat.com had written a story a while back, predicting this very outcome.

The final nail in the coffin came when this DJ A Creative Unit presentation ceded the slot leader position to rival Colors serial Udariyan, which is seeing massive growth in numbers.

The makers tried very hard to lift their numbers. Their job was made more challenging, with the shoot having to first shift to Goa and Hyderabad to beat the Mumbai Covid lockdown. Karanvir himself contracted the virus compelling the writers to effect a change in the storyboard.

It was even doing well internationally; both in the US and UK, yet in the final analysis, desi TRP tops all concerns; hence the end was always on the cards. There was some talk of the show shifting solely to OTT, given decent digital traction. Colors had done the same to its thriller show, Ishq Mein Marjawan. However, in the end, the channel decided to cut its losses here and now.

Although both the leads are putting up a brave face, the source says even they were worried. They have garnered colossal names and social media followers ever since the show started in December last.

Shaurya will make way for the new Star Plus show, Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana, as per the buzz. There are two other new offerings on the numero uno channel as well. First, Gul Khan production, Maa(Paridhi Sharma and Himanshoo Malhotra ) might occupy the vacant late-night 11 pm slot, while Vidrohi headlining Sharad Malhotra and Sulagna Panigrahi should populate the weekend band. We hope the latter does well, for although Star is massive on weekdays, it alway comes a cropper in weekend fiction.

Senior actor Khalid Siddiqui, who plays Shan Sabhrawal in Shaurya, confirmed the off-air news to Filmibeat. Even the social media account of fellow actor Falaq Naaz is also indicative of the show's demise.

We tried to get in touch with both the leads and channel but could not get a revert until filing this story.
