Buckle up, drama lovers—Star Plus’s shiny new show Sampoorna (launched August 28, 2025) is serving piping-hot intrigue with a side of serious societal spice! This Hindi remake of the Bengali web series Noshtoneer dives headfirst into a juicy plot: Mitti, a small-town wifey (Sandipta Sen, killing it in her debut), has her picture-perfect marriage to doc hubby Akash (Aham Sharma) flipped upside down when a colleague slaps him with rape and abuse allegations. Airing weekdays at 7:30 PM on Star Plus and streaming on JioCinema, it’s got Vishal Aditya Singh and Riya Kapoor adding extra sizzle. Early vibes? A 4/5 for gripping setup and Sen’s raw, relatable performance as Mitti wrestles with trust and truth.
This show could be a game-changer, tackling #MeToo complexities, workplace biases, mental health stigma, and family fallout in conservative India—think The Undoing but with desi heart. Will Akash’s innocence hold, or is Mitti blind to a darker side? The premise screams potential for nuanced chats about consent and redemption. But, hold the popcorn—Star Plus’s history (Anupamaa, anyone?) has me side-eyeing. Bold starts often drown in saas-bahu clichés, evil in-laws, or wild twists like amnesia or Durga avatars (yep, spoilers hint at Mitti going goddess-mode). Will Sampoorna keep it real or spiral into TRP-chasing soap opera mush? Here’s hoping it stays gritty and skips the melodrama trap!
We are totally confused about the story of #Sampoorna .We wish Akash as a strong male doctor fights for himself instead of wife's support .I feel here too much freedom given to ladies .Girl power and Metoo issues are too much in the courts .
