Fwd: The show will reinvent itself: Sonali and Amir Jaffar on 'Tujhse Hai Raabta' completing 700 episodes

Sonali and Amir Jaffar's "Tujhse Hai Raabta" completed 700 successful episodes on Thursday (July 1).

Happy on achieving this new milestone, Sonali said, "700 episodes is a good landmark. We ensured that the story took a natural progression. When we started conceptualising Tujhse Hai Raabta and pitched the show to the channel we were told are you sure as everyone was making supernatural, mythological and Naagins which was the order of the day."

Amir continued, "But look where we are today. 700 episodes down and many more to go. We are happy how the show developed and the cast and crew have put in their 100 % in the show and the new milestone speaks for the show's success."

Praising the cast, Sonali confessed, "The story was very relatable, it was something which had lot of drama. The characters look very authentic and the actors did full justice to their characters be it Savita, Reem or Sehban and even Shagun Pandey as the negative lead looked perfect."

What new can we expect from the show now? "New thing which we can expect from the show to reinvent itself. We would like to keep on entertaining the audiences," she concluded.

"Tujhse Hai Raabta" produced under Sonali and Amir's Full House Media went on-air in September 2018. The show features Reem Shaikh, Sehban Azim, Poorva Gokhale, Savita Prabhune, Rajat Dahiya, to name a few. It airs on Zee TV.

Theatre played a vital role in shaping my whole life,” suggests Hamariwali Good News’ Shakti Anand

Zee TV’s Hamariwali Good News is a primetime drama that has kept its audience at the edge of their seats since its inception. After the recent leap and Meera’s (Juhi Parmar) marriage to Mukund (Shakti Anand), the show has taken several twists and turns that have kept the viewers glued to their TV sets. While seasoned actor Shakti Anand has been impressing one and all with his stellar acting on the show as Mukund Tiwari, little does anyone about how he overcame a fear to make his hobby of acting into his full-time career?

Talking about his struggle, Shakti Anand revealed, “In the initial years of my career, when I had just started working for a private organisation in Delhi, I joined a theatre group, which played a vital role in shaping my whole life. I had joined theatre as a hobby as I really liked acting. I wanted to do something constructive apart from just doing my job and my love for the craft continued to grow through theatre and I continued being a part of it for more than 3 years. That's when I felt I could switch to acting as a full-time profession. Coming from a middle-class family, I did not have anyone in the entertainment industry to guide me at all. So, I started from scratch and understood what acting was all about.”

He further added, “While theatre had taught me different things like script writing, dialogue narration, performance, amongst other things; learning something new on set every day made me more fascinated about acting as a profession. I actually had a fear of public speaking and taking a step towards overcoming this fear with acting is one of my biggest achievements till date. I guess that is when my hobby turned into my profession. To be honest, I gave so many auditions for my debut show and after multiple attempts, my journey in the television industry started. It was a struggle, but I am really happy I chose acting as it has given me a lot of love, affection and joy.”

While Shakti’s love for his profession increases daily, in the recent episodes, his on-screen character, Mukund has been seen taking care of Meera as he helps her recover after she was mysteriously shot by someone. Is this the start of Mukund and Meera’s love story? Or will Devika be successful in separating them once and for all?

It exudes love, passion, and chemistry between the leading pair. The soulful track is sung by Arsh Mohammed, composed by Ankit Shah, and beautifully penned by Neetu Saini.

Tandoor marks the digital debut of Rashami Desai and also the directorial debut of producer-director Nivedita Basu. ULLU has over the past year, launched many investigative thrillers including Peshawar, Assi Nabbe Poore Sau but Tandoor has been the most awaited.

Yamini Malhotra: The Government’s decision was right in providing vaccines to health workers first and then senior citizens

he vaccination drive is on with much vigour. The government recently announced free vaccination for all above the age of 18. However, the struggle right now is vaccine shortage. Many are of the opinion that vaccination should have been open to all and free from the very beginning. Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Yamini Malhotra is one of those who believe that the government has done things right and their phase wise division of vaccination drive was helpful.

“The Government’s decision was right in providing vaccines to health workers first and then senior citizens. They were at the highest risk. We were expecting that the youth has more immunity than the seniors. But this second wave was extremely deadly and didn’t spare the youth too which is very unfortunate and unexpected,” says the actor, who has also done a few Punjabi films.

She was in Delhi when the vaccination was opened to all above 18 years of age. “Initially it was very tough to find a vaccine slot. I tried on different timings but they were always booked. Then one day my luck worked at two in the night and I found a paid slot at a private hospital 10 minutes away from my home. And, that’s where I got my first jab. It was a very convenient procedure. For the First 2 days I got a fever and body ache but then I was all fine. My second dose is expected in September,” she adds.

Health is one thing which has taken centre stage in our lives. This pandemic has made everyone understand the values of good mental and physical health, feels the actor.  “I have felt a sense of detachment from all the luxuries of life. I no longer care about new cars, branded clothes, and accessories. All I cared about this whole year was that me, my family, and my close ones stayed alive and healthy,” she says.  Everyone is trying their best to cope up, keeping themselves busy but it sometimes does hit us how this pandemic has affected the economy leading to many losing their work.

“It’s been a bad phase for everyone. So many of my friends have been jobless for over a year now and few have shut down their businesses after facing losses. I am thankful to God that I started shooting for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin September onwards when unlocking has started. But I want to request each one to not stop the salaries of your house helps, cooks and guards. COVID has the worst impacted the poor and the daily wagers the most. These people don’t have sufficient savings for their basic survival. A few thousands wouldn’t affect us much but to them, it can pay their rent and buy ration. Now is the time to fill the world with kindness and humanity. So I request all the privileged to help the underprivileged in whatever way possible,” she ends.

Celebrities miss those good old mask-free vacation days, relive happy memories

Covid-19 has not just brought our life to a sudden halt but with all the movement-related restrictions has stopped us from taking holidays for long. Sometimes it seems like a dream to many of us. Celebrities talk about how much they miss travelling and take the opportunity to remember the good old mask-free vacation days. They also share about that one special vacation that they have already experienced or want to explore when these dark times are over.

Travelling is something that we all definitely miss a lot. Just before the lockdown started I was travelling with my plays all over India and abroad as well for almost one and half years. The last trip that I took was with Percy and it was very special. This was just before the lockdown and later we were thanking God that we made this 9-day-long amazing trip without delaying it any further. We don’t get so many holidays together when you're working, so for us that holiday was much required. We went to Dubai and enjoyed doing everything, right from eating at different places to shopping to sightseeing. It was such a wonderful and happy trip. I have such lovely memories of that vacation.

We have been home only throughout the pendamic. I want to travel and meet people of different cities. I can't even recall where I went for my last vacation.

I am missing travelling to a foreign destination. USA is on my wish list. I would like to go to Miami and  L.A. also   Travelling elevates the spirit and rejuvenates too. One life we have and travelling should be part of everyone's life. I have only travelled to Jammu my hometown and to Chandigarh for my music video shoot.

My NGO No More Tears is my life.  I can’t remember the last time I had a vacation or took a trip just for fun. I am a workaholic and as someone who is with victims and cops 24/7, I don’t have time to take vacation. I feel like a mother to all the victims and being a mom is a full-time job. But I surely want to visit India as I have amazing memories of Mumbai.

Kumkum Bhagya is truly like my second home,” reveals Reyhna Pandit who plays Aaliya in the show

Zee TV’s popular fiction show, Kumkum Bhagya has been an audience favourite courtesy its intriguing plot and the authentic portrayal of relatable characters like Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia), Pragya (Sriti Jha), Aaliya (Reyhna Pandit), Tanu (Leena Jumani), Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) and Prachi (Mugdha Chapekar). Recently, the show witnessed a leap of 2 years, leaving everyone surprised and excited to know more about what is in store for them. Viewers saw how everyone's bhagya has changed, in fact, Reyhna's character of Aaliya has seen a major transformation and the actress is quite kicked about it. After stepping into the role of Aaliya last year, Reyhna is really having a great time shooting for Kumkum Bhagya and has even started considering it as her second home.

As Reyhna reveals, “While Kumkum Bhagya has been entertaining the audience since several years, I got a chance to join the show last year after Shikha left due to the birth of her child. To be completely honest, since the time I joined the show, everything has been a bliss. While I was apprehensive about stepping into Shikha's shoes, I guess I've owned the character of Aaliya now. However, apart from acting, the whole shooting experience with the cast has been wonderful too. The whole Kumkum Bhagya family welcomed me warmly and now I am a member of this wonderful group of people. In fact, we have star actors like Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha, but neither of them comes across like that on set. Everyone is like a family, they are warm and kind, we have a lot of fun together. We obviously have bonded a lot and Kumkum Bhagya is truly like my second home now. No one is judgmental or interferes in your work here, they all push you to do your best and I am having a great time being a part of the show.

Talking about her post leap character, Reyhna further adds, “The character of Aaliya has changed quite drastically. After losing their fortune, the Mehras are not well to do, they are just about managing things. So, she is not the fashionista, diva that she used to be. You'll see her dressed very simply. In fact, she is frustrated with the current scenario she is in, especially with poverty hitting their family. She doesn't mince her words now, not even in front of her brother. However, one thing that hasn't changed in her is that she still loves her family and cares for them. So, she helps out the family whenever and however she can.”

While Reyhna is enjoying being a part of Kumkum Bhagya, it will be interesting to see what her character Aaliya does when Pragya returns to take revenge from Abhi?

To know all this and more, tune in to Kumkum Bhagya every Monday to Friday at 9pm on  Zee  TV
