After staying largely off the Hindi TV and film radar, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin is suddenly making headlines again — this time from the sets of a brand-new Balaji Telefilms dating reality show tentativly titled, Its a Meal.
According to sources, Mannara was brought in as a guest judge. While the full format of Its a meal is still under wraps, the basic idea is clear: male contestants have to impress a rotating panel of female guest judges which might also include other hotties like Nayara Banerjee and Poonam
Apparently the dateing reparttee between Mannara and one of the male contestants turned heated after she made a remark that reportedly set the entire set off. The situation escalated quickly, ending with Mannara angrily stomping off the set.
What exactly was said remains unclear for now, but the incident has already given the unreleased show an early shot of oxygen. In the current reality TV climate, any controversy is good content — though many are hoping this doesn’t spiral the way the Samay Raina controversy did.
Mannara is not new to controvery . She previously faced allegations from Shraddha Das, who claimed Mannara used excessive force on her during their 2014 film Zid. On Bigg Boss 17, her fiery exchanges with Ankita Lokhande and Khanzaadi also kept her firmly in the spotlight.
While Mannara remains a recognised name in the South industry, she has yet to carve out the kind of Bollywood space her cousin Parineeti Chopra has managed. Other names — including Akanksha Chamola and Umar Riaz — are also being linked to Balaji’s upcoming reality slate, though it’s still unclear whether they belong to this dating show or a different project in the pipeline.
For now, the show has its first big talking point. Whether it becomes a launchpad or another PR headache for Mannara remains to be seen.
