My take on the future of new shows.
Palampur Express: Hope it does not finish 4th in the TRP talley as PT Usha did in the 1984 olympics!
Rani Padmavati. Can we have the hero and heroine looking as good as Hrithik and Aishwarya?.
Bhaskar Bharati. Will this DJ's show recreate the Jassi magic or become like the Mahabharat of 9x?
Ladies Special. Wonder if men will avoid watching as they are not allowed to board the ladies special.
Entertainment Ki llye Kuch Bhi Karega. God save our souls from non stop Anu Malik ka proudy gyan.
Dus Ka Dum. Sallu bhai pls bring Vivek and Aishwarya as guests.
Pavitira Ristha. Is Ekta going back in time to Kkusum to resurrect her career ?
Mitwa. Star don't you think that years of social churning have empowered the lower caste;s a bit more then what you are showing?

Wish List from New Govt.
With the new govt in Delhi firmly in the saddle this is the wish list from tv industry.
1. Ban IPL it causes big ticket loses to our industry.
2. Give Ekta Kapoor, Padmashree for taking Indian tv industry twenty years ahead in content.
3. Allow for adult content, i want uncensored version of Sex and the city
4. Make Reality show's tax free, it gives clean and fair chance to singers and dancers
5. Give free mobile phone and talk time, so we can sms as we dont have anything but only reality show on weekends.
6. Lift child labour law's make kids work 24*7.
Give stimulus package to 9x. They gave us a beautiful programme like Mahabharat.
Introduce fiat to re christen news channel as entertainment channel. They give us more laugh anyways.
8. Ask Salman Khan to come only shirtless on Dus Ka Dum.
9. Direct Star Plus to tinker with the format of Moment of Truth. It would be fun to see the sexual escapadas of our star's out of the closet.
10 Set up a high panel committee to find out why men are discriminate in tv contents.

Barrage of new progrmame
With IPL comming to an end, all GEC's are bending over backward to introduce new shows. Sony has completely revamped its bouquets of presentations . Bhaskar Bharati might introduce some interest given its fun and wild concept(clean lift of Mr ya Ms) . Rani Padmvati promo are shot well. For Palampur Express, i will give sony a thumps for atleast attempting to go beyond the normal sas bahu routine. Ladies Special, surely not for me, another saga of woman bonding and thier eventual suffering. Entertainment Ki Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Oh no, will we to have to endure Anu Malik pompous attitude all over again.? Me think if the talent is goes beyond song and dance then why have old judges all over again. ?
Dus Ka Dum Salman Khan always bring his chemistry to the table . But this time if news reports are to be believed he will not use his clout to bring celeb guests, So SET attempts to save a buck might back fire as now they will have to shell out dough to bring in guests, which sallu may be managing on personal network( I am not sure though)
Colours has introduced a sunday mor band wonder what happended to its much talked about afternoon band, certain producers were supposeldy making new show for them. Vikram Betal might work with kids so i wil reserve my judgement.
One can never dismiss Zee it has an uncanny habbit of bouncing back. It will bring 3 new shows(2 fiction and one non fiction) Pavitra Rishta and Ap Ki Antara. Pavtira rishta from what ever i have heard seems similiar to Ekta maya's Kusum although she denies. My attempt to get more more info were stone walled by gaging the lead girl Ankita. As of now Dulhan is sure going of airl. Divyanka is confuseing me yaar at one time she says she is ok with the show going off " It had its life and now she is crying foul.
Star Plus shaken by the colour threat to its numro uno slot is aslo girding up its lion and commingw with a number of new show. Star Vivah is already up and running. Though i have my doubt wheter it will run given that they will air only profile with such marriage info. Mitwa will soon be on its way. . Its big ticket presentaton with its indian take on This format would be interesting as the channel will have to re work the entire funda as the international format are based on more overt sexual question which is not possible on a family channel like Star

Guys, welcome to my blog a place where i will try to entertain you with my own special take on the world. Apni Tv Ki Duniya going ons will be always highlighted. Rest assured, i will not go below the belt as most of u who follow my quirky tag's on Gtalk and FB should be aware. But yes it will sometime be a bit nasty and also in the face. I am, Anil Merani ,a 33 year old freelance entertainment( tv) journalist writing for various print and online publications. I have a reputation(I cant vouch for it's accuracy) of being a guy who has a nose for all the gossip and negative news. People say that my hands itch till I dont bajoa somebody's happiness. I am also named "Serial Killer", as I always "break news" of shows going off air.

I live in Mumbai with my dad and sister. I am a cool easy going guy, I try to avoid unnecessary hangsup's, who has time in life for more issues yaar.
