Sidharth shukla top gun of Bigg Boss 13

Colors show Bigg Boss 13 is going full steam, picking up both online traction and TRP. Guess what has worked in the mix of contestants, we all love to watch Sidharth Shukla;s non stop fracas with Rashami Desai. Paras Chabbra making time with both Shehnaaz Gill and Mahira Sharma. Today I have decided to focus just on Siddarth Shukla's game. Guys lets face it as now he is numero uno, with most action of the house revolving only around him. Be it his fights with Rashami and now also with Asim Riaz. Even Sana is trying to cozy with Shukla. Last but not the least even Arti Singh's game some how or the other involves Shukla. today she wanted the latter to bat for her against Paras despite the fact that she herself wanted to go solo. Mahira has also had more then her fair share of run ins with Shukla. Bahu turned babe Devoleena Bhattacharjee too is trying to flirt with him though sarcastically. The only contestants who so far has avoided panga with him are Hindustani Bahu, Shefali Zariwala and latest wildcard entry Vishal Aditya Singh. so the thumbrule is that if you have to be seen, negatively engage with Shukla. He in turn never disappoints always screams and pushes people around. The females( Mahira and Himanshi Khuran) then cry wolf. in the heat of battle, no one will think of pulling back just because other is female. It would really be interesting if at the end Shukla ends up with Devo who is beginning to thaw towards him. Asim'exit from Shukla group will not really harm him for no matter if he is nominated. He will still be safe as Colors needing him will put all stops to save him if is ever in he red, if Shukla gets eliminated, the show will lose all it's mojo. Post script. Will Shukla get work after coming out given his quarrelsome personality? or will producers and channels will bite the bullet given his popularity!

Sanjivani post mortem 1

I had promised to write about what went wrong with Star Plus show Sanjivani. (to end soon) this Siddharth P Malhotra production lost it way around Oct and since then has gone downhill so here i tell you what wrong up front This is first installment let me know if you agree. There is more to come. 1. Writing was not the best. 2. Creative did not let the lead character chem develop as Gul didi did in Ishqbaaz before making it into a love story. 3 So the romance did not become really relatable as with Nakkul and Surbhi 4. Afer hating each other gut for long you just dont fall in love in jiffy . 5. They needed a very different set up for this show to work. 6. They need Sid and Ishani to be on equal footing, then rise up rank in the hospital's hierarchy, B/c it would justify their clash of personality over ethics. 7. k Ishani's- and- Sid's- pasts need to unraveled more slowly. 8. The conflict was clearly lopsided in Si.favour they should have made it more nuanced. as for what is happening now, the creative have completely lost the above plot r falling back t tried and tested family route. But that wont work for Sanjivani audience is not your family audience

our mature tv shows are not really dat mature

There is a new trend of calling TV love stories mature. But they are hardly mature at best they will deal with older man younger woman romance. Or coming together of an estranged couple. Have we not seen this before? If you really want to mature then in my humble urban ( I know I am not TG) opinion the following themes need to be considered(hope channels heads are reading) Inter religious and intercaste marriages and all the politics and social tension such couples face. Hindu Muslim families are shown as best friends but never as marrying each other. I thought matrimony was one important factor to be cement equations or am I wrong?? One more story could be tension a working woman faces with her conservative in laws. While they have no issues with the double income the wife brings, they expect her to also do the household chores after work, No one chips in.If husband returns late from work it is fine, woman is expected to be home best say by 10 pm. Late night parties and calls are looked down upon. One other burning issues is of kids, how do you inculcate right values in them when everybody is racing towards success. Girls of earlier generations were taught that it was important to be a virgin till marriage but today when woman marry much later . And society also teaches a woman that she has full right over her body and need not be ashamed of her sexuality . So today young woman are more ready to experiment which has it conseqeunces unwed mothers . How do you deal with your daughter's boy friend? Also why don’t shows which are set up in cat b and cat c towns shows lead girls dressed in jeanS. Good girl will always be shown in eastern dress in small town. We need to break this stereotype that western attire is bad. If a woman wants to show flesh a sari can be very good option . Before you jump even boy's parents need to be aware and tell their young kids to be good if not careful lest they might fall victim to STD. A Last but not the least is problem which parents face if they come to know that their son or daughter is gay. What hell breaks lose, how much pressure is brought on the boy girl to become “normal . sadly we stereotyping them as queer is when in real most closeted gays like u and me.

media a two way dialogue

I have been a very ardent follower of media reportage long before I become an entertainment journalist.Cut to the good old days of print and electronic media when we would love to read articles/ watch interviews of people who we did not agree with Although even then we abused them we had no option to reply formally. As letters to editors hardly ever got space and were least read I guess. Feedback good bad or ugly (I have got my share of ugly ones) really came into own post the social media revolution.Every hard hitting article /interview immediately invites large number of comments. And since the comments mirror the views of people on both sides of the fence the comments just keep multiplying. Earlier since we had no way of knowing how others feel it is not a matter of right or wrong if a view is widely held,it gains currency) we would cow down and the writer/speak would get away. Todaythanks to instant feedback, there is no escape for missing facts In such an environmentthe essence and value of the write up/ video interview many times looses values, if read in conjunction with comments. And those who oppose the write up/ interview will surely bother more to comment then those who agree. However while I welcome this democratization of the media debate which till now was a monologue. Some of the reactions are complete below the belt as well Abuses are hurled about personal lives of the writers . And if one false hood is repeatedly several times,it is considered true.Such assumptions might destroy reputations and personal lives.

A must read

Read this poem very heart rendring.

I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.
I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom.
The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank
And I will die.
Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now.
Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying
And all he can do is stare.
Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "GOOD BOY " on my grave.
Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom.
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?

new tv shows

My take on the future of new shows.

Palampur Express: Hope it does not finish 4th in the TRP talley as PT Usha did in the 1984 olympics!

Rani Padmavati. Can we have the hero and heroine looking as good as Hrithik and Aishwarya?.

Bhaskar Bharati. Will this DJ's show recreate the Jassi magic or become like the Mahabharat of 9x?

Ladies Special. Wonder if men will avoid watching as they are not allowed to board the ladies special.

Entertainment Ki llye Kuch Bhi Karega. God save our souls from non stop Anu Malik ka proudy gyan.

Dus Ka Dum. Sallu bhai pls bring Vivek and Aishwarya as guests.

Pavitira Ristha. Is Ekta going back in time to Kkusum to resurrect her career ?

Mitwa. Star don't you think that years of social churning have empowered the lower caste;s a bit more then what you are showing?
