 f confidence is the buzzword today, actor Rishank Tiwari is definitely in tune with the times. He insists that his foray into the world of performing arts was not a flash-in-the-pan decision; a Civil Engineer by qualification, he says that it’s his passion & love for the craft of acting which is the prime factor that attracts him to be a part of Bollywood.

Rishank is an actor who believes in blending passion & profession together, someone who wishes to inspire much & get inspired much more.

Holding a penchant for acting and theatre,  it has been more than nine years that Rishank has been acting in films and over eight years in theatre.

Two years back, in 2019 he produced and acted in a short film titled Pukar which was shot in Kerela and directed by Partho Pratim Ghosh. In 2018 he acted in a limited Netflix series, a Biopic on Swami Ramdev, Directed by Kushal Jhaveri and producer by Ajay Devgan Films

In 2017 he acted in a Bollywood film titled Qaidi Band, produced by Yash Raj Films and  Directed by Habib Faisal. Again in 2017 he acted in web series promo titled Love Tadka, directed by Devashish Sargam and produced by Moonlight Films. Another one in 2017- he acted in web series titled Kushal Mangal, directed by Atul Hambire. He acted in Sony rox HD channel promo advertisement. He also acted in a short film titled Bombay Nights, directed by Surya (RGV associate) and produced by Lemon Grass Films. He acted in a series showreel as a lead titled The Indian, directed by Surya (RGV associate) and Prod- Lemon Grass Production.

In 2016, he acted in a bollywood film titled Ye Hai India as a negative lead. In 2015 he acted in a bollywood film titled Love K Funday as a lead which was Produced by Fayaz Anwar (FLV) and directed by Indervesh Yogi.

In 2015 he acted in a Bollywood film titled Chakkar CD ka as a lead, produced by V/A Motion Pictures and Directed by Sameer Siddhique

In 2014 he acted in a South Kannad film titled Looty and played the role of a cop. The film was Produced by Niranjana and directed by Girish Kamlapur.

In 2013 he acted in a hindi film titled Darkness which was produced by Rishiraj Films.

Milloni Kapadia feels great to be back in Mumbai: Shooting away from the city was like a workcation for me

 Coming back to home in Mumbai and shooting in the city is the best feeling, says Milloni Kapadia. The actor portrays the character of Gunn in Sonali Jaffar and Amir Jaffar’s hit TV show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. During the second Covid wave in India in April, when Mumbai went to lockdown due to the surge in Covid cases and many shows shifted to Goa, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli for over two months. With the spread under control, and the state government permitting shoot in the city following strict protocols, all the TV shows are back.

“There is no better place than home and especially after spending so much time with my parents during the lockdown, suddenly having to go out for such a long outdoor schedule was a roller-coaster of emotions. So it feels great to be back,” she says adding that the good thing about staying with the team together is that they got a lot of time to know each other better.

“In such challenging times where everyone was working from home, getting an opportunity to travel and shoot at such beautiful locations was genuinely nothing less than a blessing. It was so rejuvenating, it didn’t feel like work at times. I am a beach person so the Goa shoots were amazing. After pack-up I would always hit the beach and spend some time there and secretly wished my family was with me. I would rather call it a workcation. We had a lot of fun. We all have become really good friends as we now understand each other better. Spending time together between and post shoots has certainly strengthened our bond off-screen,” she says.

The show introduced twists and turns given the shift in location and it seems that the audience enjoyed the new experience. “That is so true. It was a concern for all of us but the writing team of our show has really worked it out everything quite well. They have made it all so believable that despite the too many new elements and location change due to the unfortunate COVID situation, it all looked natural and hence it was received well. In fact, the new track is interesting too. We all know how much Darsh and Nandini love each other and how Shobhit is trying hard to break them up using Ritesh as the pawn. There is so much more coming up but I can't talk much about it right now,” she adds.

The actor heaps praises on the producers who left no stones unturned for the safety and comfort of the team. “Honestly our producers Amir sir and Sonali ma'am have been the nicest people to work with. They have always been there for us at every step and ensure that we all feel comfortable and safe at work. They're so sweet and considerate that they've always been in touch and asked if everything is going fine. I feel blessed having them around and couldn’t have asked for anything more,” she ends.

Vaidika Senjaliya missed the Mumbai rains while shooting outdoor

 Vaidika Senjaliya, who is seen in Sonali and Amir Jaffar's "Tujhse Hai Raabta", is happy to be back in Mumbai. After the Maharashtra government announced a lockdown in the state in April, a lot of TV shows moved out of the region, but now that the government has lifted shooting restrictions, they are back in Mumbai. The actress confessed that though shooting outdoor seemed like bliss initially, after a while she started missing Mumbai.

"It is so good to be back in Mumbai. When we started shooting out of Mumbai, I was really excited that we're going for outdoor shooting. New location, new set up, so everything was very exciting and it was fun initially but somehow we all were missing Mumbai. The hotel in which we were staying was very nice, and comfortable. We had our pick up and drop cars and as soon as we wrapped up for the day, it would take us back to our hotel. We all then used to meet in someone's room and we would talk till late at night," she said.

"So I think I have bonded very well with my team because of it. I'm very grateful that I got a chance to go for an outdoor shoot, because if we were in Mumbai, things would have been different, like after pack up we would go back to our respective homes. Shooting outdoor was so positive and refreshing, and we enjoyed a lot, but yes at the end of the day we missed home. Also, in Gujarat rains started late so we were missing Mumbai rains so much. It is so good to be back, and we're back to routine now," she added.

Praising the producer couple for taking care of them so well during the outdoor, Vaidika said, "Our production house is the best, everyone was behaving so responsibly, they used to wear masks, sanitization, and social distancing was maintained. Suppose we are shooting in one room, then they used to make sure that there are no extras in that room. They trained the team so well that even though we shot outdoors for such a long time touchwood nobody's health was affected nor did anyone get COVID symptoms. So the production house took great care not just while shooting but post shooting too. It was an amazing experience."

On his birthday Vivian remembers the time he got a puppy from his father

 Vivian Dsena turned a year older on Monday (June 28). The handsome actor shared that he will have a low-key celebration and might even cook something special for himself on his big day.

He said, "I am not a party animal. Birthday is a peaceful time. I am a foodie and will enjoy the scrumptious homemade food. I may even cook something special, you never know. I am thankful to God for blessing me with love and good life. I am grateful to my fans for their beautiful wishes and also for waiting to see me on TV soon."

The actor, who was last seen in "Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki", also revealed his fondest birthday memory and said, "It was when I got a pet dog from my father, I think I was 6-7 years old. I just loved my dog Jimmy, I was very close to him. The memory still brings a twinkle in my eyes. We all grow up but memories remain."

Though the actor believes in keeping a low profile, he has time and again spoken about following the safety protocols during the pandemic and urged his fans yet again to be optimistic and take proper precautions. 

"I request everyone to follow the protocols and am sure pandemic too will pass. Time will not remain the same. We all have to live life carefully. It is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice," Vivian concluded.

India's first transgender model Nikkiey Chawla: In 2015, I was about 90 kgs, and life felt meaningless till I decided to not give up

 Life has never been short of a roller coaster ride for India’s first transgender model Nikkiey Chawla. From being born as a boy to realizing that he is actually a female trapped in a male body, fighting family and society, sex change operation to making name as a model, actor and make-up artiste, Chawla faced challenges at every crossroad. Not the one to give up, she always fought hard and has been successful. Now she wants to fulfil her “dreams of being known as a good actor and make good films, TV shows and web series”.

Looking back she remembers how when she was in 5th or 6th standard, she was a good dancer and people would tell my parents that God has made me a boy by mistake, she should have been a girl.

 “At that time everyone would laugh about it but when I started growing up my parents started feeling bad… My father was a banker and my mother is a well-known cosmetologist. My childhood was amazing. I was a good dancer, acted in many school plays and was quite known in my city. People used to call me Govinda and Madhuri Dixit [Nene] of our city… But then I always wanted to be a girl. Later, I got to know from someone that something like a sex-change operation exists but being young I still didn’t have a clue of what struggles I will have to face if I decide to take that route to become the girl I always wanted to be,” says Chawla, who hails from Punjab and finished her further studies in Delhi.

It was in Delhi where she consulted doctors. Thankfully Chawla did her research before taking the plunge in 2006. The first step was to consult two psychiatrists, who would understand if she is ready and prepared her for the process.

“I still remember the first day when I wore bra, it felt awkward, but as I continued I slowly became comfortable… Many friends, relatives even after a point my family stopped talking to me. As the final days approached my family came back to me. The surgery took place on October 21, 2009. The real struggle started afterward when I had to change the legal documents,” she shares.

Talking about her mental and physical struggle along with dealing with society, Chawla adds, “Dealing with society was the toughest. Back in Punjab people starting talking about me negatively but slowly when I started doing well their rudeness, perception and perspective changed. Society is being made by us and we can only be the change... As I said post-surgery is the real struggle. Being a woman now, everything feels different… Depression is very common during this phase and I have been through it for four years. In 2014, I was about 90 kgs and life felt meaningless till I decided to not give up.”

Chawla, who is a successful model and has done shows like MTV crunch, Emotional Atyachar, Ace of Space as a celebrity, now wants to concentrate on acting assignments too.

“After doing the short film Qaid I realised that acting is something I want to pursue, so I am concentrating on that. I missed out working on Kaalakaandi and Made in Heaven 2. I really want to work with Ekta Kapoor ma’am,” she ends.

Tassnim Sheikh: I shot for only two weeks away from Mumbai, so it was a much-needed break for me

assnim Sheikh enjoyed shooting away from Mumbai for Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa. Well, that’s simply because she was only away from home for two weeks. Anupamaa, like other Hindi TV shows Silvassa for over two months since lockdown was announced in Mumbai in April given the surge of Covid cases. With things looking up and the state government granting permission to shoot in the city, all these shows are back to shooting in Mumbai following strict SOPs.
 
“For me it was kind of a break also because I have just been at home for a long time. So going to Silvassa and shooting there in a resort with greenery all around, I could unwind, breathe some fresh air. I took it as a break and my family also wanted me to go shoot, relax and come back stress-free. I really enjoyed shooting outdoors. Being in the lap of nature was amazing, at times I wished my family was there with me. It feels great being back home, the love and the warmth, the hugs and kisses that I missed in Silvassa for 15 days so I was actually happy being backed home to my loved ones. I was also missing the sets of Anupamaa, especially our dogs on the sets,” she says.

This time also helped the actor interact with her co-stars a lot more than usual and helped her in knowing them better. “The actors and unit had more time with each other and it was definitely amazing. It was a beautiful atmosphere out there, we had so much fun. The bond only grew stronger,” adds the actor, who has been working in the industry for over two decades now.
 
Given the change in location, the show introduced new twists and turns in the plot to keep the audience engaged. “I am glad that audiences have loved it and are still enjoying the show. Anupamaa is a different kind of a show altogether. For a reason it has developed a strong bond with the audience. We, as a team, are always ready to entertain our viewers and are indebted for their love and support,” she says.
 
Talking about the current track of the show that shows Kavya and Anupamaa are residing in the same house, she adds, “There are bound to be issues when they are together. So the track is very realistic, the dialogues and performances are good too. Right now Rakhi Dave is stressed and concerned about her daughter’s happiness, career and well being like any mother. I find this track quite relatable.”

Tassnim thanks the producer of the show for leaving no stone unturned to take care of the team. “He did his best to make his actors comfortable in the outdoor shoot. He gave us the best facilities, room, food... We were like one big family and because of this oneness I believe the show is doing so well. DKP team rocks and I wish them the best always,” she signs off.

Popular actress Jasmin Bhasin is celebrating her birthday today. Jasmin, Aly Goni, his sister Ilham Goni, and her family are in Goa to celebrate her birthday. The birthday girl says, "I am happy to be in Goa for a small break where I am celebrating my birthday with my close friends. I could've had a grand celebration but considering the current situation, I thought it would be best if I had a small celebration. Last one year is a blessed one, I have chosen my work according to my own preference. Even during the most difficult time, I was working. I am grateful to the universe for showering me with good work and taking care of me. Whether it is the reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, or the music videos I have done -- I have enjoyed them all and more importantly, my fans have liked them. My birthday wish is to grow further as an artist and I want the universe to fulfil all my wishes.”
