For every child their father is the epitome of all things love and powerful. Many of us have memories of our dear dads telling us stories, motivating us to try something new and daring and holding helping us rise after every fall. Father’s Day is dedicated to all the fathers and father figures whose contribution in our lives is unmatchable. Celebrities talk about their daddy dearest, share the advice that they have got from them which in a way helped them to wade through trying times and mention the qualities they have imbibed from their fathers.

My father Shailesh Jain always tells me to be patient. There will be good and bad days at work but my goodwill will stay. He tells me to be optimistic always. He is my friend, philosopher and guide. He always tells me I am there so ‘kuch fikr karne ki zarrurat nahi hai’. This assurance makes me go through everything with a smile. My father supported me to take up acting as a profession. My business acumen also comes from him.  The two qualities I have inherited from him are patience and working hard to hone my skills no matter what. I can't think of my life without my father. I may be less expressive, but he knows I love him and I know he is always there for me.
 
Sharad Malhotra
My father Shushil Malhotra has always inspired me to give my best. He was always supportive of my career decisions. He has always taught me that hard work is the only investment that never fails. I came to Mumbai with no contacts and my father always encouraged me to never give up. He is a very positive person. I have learnt to be positive from him. I have also learnt to be a warrior from him. He always tells me it is nice to feel important, but it is more important to be nice. My father's guidance and blessings is what made me what I am today.

Sneh Binny
Well, my father Raj Binny has a tough way of giving advice, which I usually never understood as a child, but slowly I realised that most of the times he was and is right and I should always consider his advice. I thinks it’s with each and every father and son. So I have decided to take his advice for everything. He speaks from experience and knows the consequences. I have followed all the career advises that he has given, in fact I still do. I always have an opinion which I put forth and discuss the same with him. The two qualities that I have got from my father are my risk taking ability and talking skills.

I met my father Dinesh Dabra after a long time when I went to Himachal Pradesh recently My father has given me an excellent upbringing. He always encouraged me to do what my heart says.  He was excited to see me and my daughter when we gave him a surprise visit. Small small things matter he has always told us. I fully believe life is all about loving your parents. Fathers day is an important day and a good occasion  to express your love.

My father Mr. Narendra Kumar Mishra advice have always helped me to mould myself into a better human being. I remember, as a teenager I mostly did not understand a lot of things he said, but later, as I grew up I realised the life lessons I got from him. I take his advice before taking any decision. He never forced his dreams or ideas on me, rather gave me the freedom to choose the career I wanted. He has been my support system. The biggest quality I’ve inherited from my father is empathy towards every living being. The other thing would be the importance of being beside your family always.  

   

 

Charrul Malik: I haven’t quit journalism, but I have moved on to acting for the time being

Charrul Malik has joined the team of Sanjay Kohli and Binaiferr Kohli’s popular sitcom Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. This is her acting debut on TV. Unlike what many think, the anchor-turned-actor, however, did not leave journalism to become an actor.
 
“No, I haven't quit journalism as such but I have moved on to acting. If I get a good opportunity to anchor a show on a news channel I will do it. A journalist is always a journalist. So the skills which I’ve will always be there with me. I get many offers from news channels and once I get something that I like I will take it up. I am ready to freelance,” she says.
 
Charrul shares that given his experience in anchoring entertainment-based shows, acting comes naturally to her. “Yes, acting is pretty inside me. For my show I used to don different ‘avatars’. I’ve done more than one thousand characters, maybe more than that. And my show used to go live and sometimes recorded too. I was my own director, stylist and scriptwriter. So, I’ve some experience. I'm pretty much able to remember long dialogues, because we used to have eight hrs lives too.  So we're habituated,” she adds.
 
Since Charrul has debuted with comedy, we ask if it is a difficult genre to explore given that it is not easy to make people laugh. “I agree. You’ve to be lively all the time, be in sync with the co-actors and comedy is like that if you don't have that ‘comedy ka Keeda’ within you, you can't do comedy. Comedy is tough. You must be able to laugh at yourself, make jokes, understand the pulse of the audience… Your mood swings or tensions must be kept aside when you perform comedy,” she says.
 
Talking about her character Rusa, Charrul shares that she connects with the character well because there are quite a few similarities. “Sometimes she is a bit rude but that is the difference and the charm of playing someone else. She is a broadminded person and wants to live her life on her terms like me. I am doing my own styling for the show. I might have a stylist soon but for now I am enjoying doing everything. I am getting good feedback for my character” she says.
 
Charrul shares that she was initially a bit scared of shooting outside Mumbai. “But as soon as we reached Surat, I came to know that there was everyone in the same hotel which includes Bhabhi ji Ga’s cast and along with that our Happu ki Ultan Paltan team. So it was a bio bubble and very safe. Since we all were together, it was an amazing experience. Producer Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli are the best producers.  The arrangements were superb,” she reveals.

Rohit ji is like Alice in wonderland: Shubhangi Atre

 Actress Shubhangi Atre, who is popularly known by her character Angoori bhabhi in Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli's "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!", is all praise for her co-star and actor Rohitashv Gour. She mentioned that working with him and co-actor Aasif Sheikh has been a learning experience for her.

"Rohit ji is like Alice in wonderland. He is in his own world most of the time but he's a wonderful co-actor and I enjoy working with him. Rohit ji is my good friend and he keeps pampering me on the sets. I have learned so much from him and Aasif (Sheikh) Ji. My chemistry is good with both of them," she said. Talking about the show she said, "It feels so great. If we talk about TV shows, there are so many that go off-air quickly or they lose their essence within a few years, but our show has managed to keep the magic alive even today. The audience loves the show, and whosoever we meet they tell us that the show is a stress buster for them. In fact, even during the lockdown, the show kept everyone entertained and we have now completed six successful years. It feels great to be a part of such a wonderful show."

The actress, who confessed that she resonates with Angoori's honestly and innocence, feels that the show is a success because it connects well with the audience. "Each and every character in the show is so relatable and that's why the audience has connected so well with the show. Like, I am from Madhya Pradesh and I have seen similar people in real life, so you could say that because of the realistic approach people connect to this show," she said. Shubhangi also praised the producer couple Sanjay and Binaiferr and the writers of the show for keeping the audience hooked with the rib-tickling punches. "The producers (Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli) and the writers have managed to keep the comedy intact since the very beginning. There's never a dull moment and it makes work so much fun. 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!' is a magical show," she concluded.

 Lizaa Malik has a great sense of interior decor and we have seen that when she did her Mumbai new house. Lizaa is known widely for her sense of aesthetics and style. She has been in new delhi during the second wave lockdown. She took to doing the interiors of her Delhi office and it seems she has had a lot of fun. Lizaa firmly believes in recycling and DIY. She believes that not everything which looks great has to be expensive. Lizaa is an actor, singer, performer and now an interior designer as well. She is a truly enterprising woman who has been such an inspiration. She took care of her employees even during the lockdown and she stood with them to feed for them as a lot of them had contracted covid. 

We spoke to Lizaa and here is what she has to say, "I think it was an opportunity to do something cool. I didn't want to waste the time during the lockdown. I wanted to do something challenging and constructive. So I designed the entire working space of our Delhi office. Everything is very artsy here and it needn't be expensive. I totally believe in recycling and DIY. It gives a personal touch and also reduces pressure on the earth. I would take people coming here on a tour of the office and that would be some nice feedback as well. The pandemic is not over yet. Let's stay within the protocols and get vaccinated whenever the opportunity arises. Stay safe and stay blessed everyone."

 Ishika Taneja looks absolutely mesmerizing in the stills from her latest photoshoot. Ishika is the Miss World tourism winner in 2018.  Everytime the beauty queen turns up for the camera she is a poetry in motion. She always turns up with her A Game. There is huge amount of work that she puts in. She featured in a recent song called Dil mangdi and it has been breaking records and boundaries ever since. 

Ishika shot recently and we spoke to her for a quick comment and here is what she has to say, "Its been incredibly pleasant and satisfying to be shooting again. We have all been through a lot over the last few months. I am currently working on multiple projects which I would be announcing soon. I am truly blessed to be shooting again and doing what i love. I can't thank god enough for the opportunity. Let's all stay safe and positive. We have to be accountable and very careful now. Let's follow all the protocols and get vaccinated soon."

Himansh Kohli supports Pride month and looks cool!

 Himansh Kohli is a style rebel and the actor is not afraid of experimenting with his looks. With Pride month being celebrated everywhere to support and show our love for the members of the LGBTQ+ community, he shot for special pics. Himansh feels it is imperative for everyone to end all sorts of discrimination that the community is going through and most importantly shun all the LGBTQ+ stereotypes.  With this Pride-themed shoot, he not only showed his support for the queer people but also broke the toxic masculinity stereotypes. Applying nail polish or wearing a skirt doesn't decide your gender. "It's a form of self-expression and there is nothing feminine about applying a nail polish," says the good-looking hunk.  "Your orientation doesn't define your personality. And we have to together make it easier and normal for the people of the LGBTQ+ community who are scared to come out of the closet because of societal pressure. We need to stop ostracizing them, instead show our love and compassion," adds the actor. Rainbow colour signifies pride and also reflects the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. Himansh rocks rainbow-manicure in one of his fingernails and strike a pose for the camera. Himansh Kohli is an A-list music Videos' face who adds freshness to every music video he does. His film Boondi Raita will go on the floors soon.  On being asked what is the philosophy of his life he says, "It is nice to be important more important to be nice and I live life one day at a time!
